28TH AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION


ohdohThe following Amendment to the United States Constitution , the 28th in number, is hereby proposed:

All legislators, regardless of level of government, before casting any vote in their respective legislative bodies, shall, in person and before their constituents, demonstrate full mastery of each and every issue inherent in the legislation on which they are about to vote.

All government officials, elected or appointed, regardless of level of government, shall, before writing any regulation or directive, demonstrate, in a public forum and before an expert and impartial panel, full mastery of all issues inherent in the regulation or directive which they are about to address.

Failure to comply with this Amendment in toto is sufficient cause for immediate dismissal, trial for perjury, permanent loss of eligibility to hold any public office and of any and all forms of public remuneration.

    If we went by these rules, we would quickly run out of legislators! Hmmm, maybe that would be a good thing…
