There are times when standing on principle plays right into the hands of evil…

Egypt’s non-Islamic politicians have decided to boycott the writing of the new Constitution because they didn’t want to participate in deceiving the people.  Sameh Ashour, the head of the Lawyers’ syndicate, asked the material question: “Do we want a constitution that satisfies the public or one monopolized by the Parliament’s majority?”  (h/t Jewish World Review)

Noble sentiment, that, but counterproductive.  One may rest assured that the Islamic majority in Egypt’s Parliament already has plans for this contingency, and will use it to consolidate its grip on Egypt’s government by filling in the empty seats with its allies.

Great way for the non-Islamists to give the Islamistas the 99.9% dominance that they crave.

Obama’s chimeric “springtime for Islam” continues apace…
