Richard Dawkins, the militantly atheist biologist, was due to speak on various scientific (and secular) matters at the Wyndgate Country Club in Rochester Hills, Michigan.  The shindig was sponsored by the Center for Inquiry (CFI) and the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.

Upon learning just what kind of animal Dawkins was and what his views on religion were, the club abruptly canceled the event.  Attempts to reason (!) with the clubbies were apparently useless.

Come on, people! How petty can you get? Are these the “Christian values” that you want the country to return to?

If I were a Christian, I’d blast off a nasty letter to those idiots, before the so-called left starts using this as proof of Christian discriminatory practices.

What a way to shoot yourselves in the foot! (Or was it in the brainpan?)
