Another Chinese cautionary tale…

Parrot is stolen in Beijing, sold to pet shop. Later, distraught owner visits selfsame pet shop.  Hitherto mute parrot begins to shout out owner’s name and apparently even imitating sounds of geese on owner’s farm.  To shut parrot up (not really, but it sounds good!), pet shop owners hand over name of thief to police.  Thief gets nabbed, mouthy beaky parrot goes home with happy owner.

Just can’t trust anyone these days to keep the secrets…
