The Obama régime has now officially canceled stranger danger and children’s fears of having their private parts touched.  Children’s book author Ian Falconer has come out with a new children’s book in which Olivia the Pig gets searched for weapons at the airport and is “very pleased” about it (h/t Jim Hoft @ Gateway Pundit).  She gets searched by male gestapolitanos, too, and that’s okay now, because we have a “progressive” administration no apparatchik of which would, by definition, ever dream of being “mean.”

Children’s stories are particularly suited to the dissemination of propaganda, partly because the target audience is vulnerable to disinformation but partly because stories deal with Manichaean pairs of stereotypical absolutes – good versus bad, sun people versus ice people, money-grubbers versus honest folks, and so forth.  The proverbial moral of the story is “correct” understanding of the world: in this case, whatever is dictated by the Obama régime.

I still remember the way fairy tales and children’s stories were twisted back in the old country to deliver the official Party line.  Too bad Falconer has now lent himself to the degenerate art of Leninist-style storytelling.
