Barack Obama, in defiance of the U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Act, has kicked off an unnecessary war in Libya and is staying with it. His justification is that he has authorization from the United Nations and the Arab League, which is enough. And, in any case, it’s not a war but a “kinetic military action.” (To a post-modern mindset, relabeling something makes it okay.) Instead of seeking Congressional approval for operations past the 60-day limit as required by the War Powers Act, he’d sent a letter to the House and Senate leadership to let them know how things are going.
Newsflash: U.S. law governs all aspects of running this Republic, including the deployment of U.S. forces. The law, which is crystal-clear on this matter, goes something like this: YOU CAN’T DO THAT! Moreover, U.S. law trumps any U.N. resolution or Arab League “permission” any time, any day, anywhere.
Obama’s actions on Libya, not to mention on Israel (and everything else he’s done to date), demonstrate clearly that the guy’s a born dictator. Hence the label Führobama.
What Obama has done in Libya is an impeachable offense. Will he be impeached? Don’t bet on it. Will this country (and the world) continue to suffer because of his self-perception as a messiah? That you can bet on safely.
