I just struck me – what would a tsunami do to an offshore wind farm? I suspect that, on encountering the real thing, the foundations of your typical wind generator would prove as illusory as the foundations of contemporary progressivism. And, given that the sudden destruction of one or more massive wind farms would cause a meltdown of the national power grid, no matter how “smart” it might be said to be, the economic consequences would be devastating.
Maybe we shouldn’t build those ugly and monumentally expensive things after all, offshore or anywhere else. Tsunamis might not be a danger inland, but there is definite potential for those pesky earthquakes no matter where you turn.
