Bill Clinton, who was impeached by the U. S. Senate for lying to a federal grand jury and who once argued about what the meaning of “is” is, had a great idea. (No, not about sex this time.) He opined that the Internet should be policed by an independent organization to ensure that those who publish Internet content tell the truth (h/t Prison Planet – be sure to watch their informative video!).
Per Clinton, this entity should be run by the Federal government or the UN and given a very specific set of guidelines. That, in his view, would ensure its independence and dedication to the truth.
I can just see this outfit’s real (i.e. secret) guidelines now. If it denigrates Jews, it’s the truth. If it denigrates people of European origin, it’s the truth. If it denigrates democracy and individual freedom, it’s the truth. If it criticizes Obama and the UN, it’s a lie, and the writer must immediately be bumped off the Web and charged with Federal crimes including child molestation so he can never get anywhere near a computer. If it uses apt descriptive terms like, say, Gestapolitano to describe a TSA apparatchik, the writer must immediately be bumped off the Web and charged with Federal crimes including child molestation so he can never get anywhere near a computer.
Etc. etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
Yes, that’ll be the life!
